Dell 2407WFP pricing?

Hey everyone with this display. How much did you all get this monitor for? Did you use dell coupons or combo deals? Sorry if this has been mentioned in the main thread, but I went through a few pages and didn't see any prices.
 
You can get it from Dell for about $700 + tax...keep notice on slickdeals.net, etc.
 
Well the only thing holding me back on getting one of these beauties is that my system would be running games at 20fps in native. That, and that my buddy always seems to find slick deals on fatwallet for dell items. I guess he got 2 or 3 of them for the $600-650 range shipped a few months ago. I wouldn't want to pay more for something that he got 3 months ago.

I'll probably build my system in quarter 4 this year. You guys think the prices will dip under $600 shipped in the cheapest vendors by then?

And also, do any of you ever choose not to use the native resolution to play games because it runs too slow? If so, please tell me your experience on this.
 
So, how fast is this thing? I really want this monitor, but it took a VX922 to get me out of my 21" CRT. I can deal with the VX922's speed, but not much slower.

Someone with very speed-sensitive eyes please tell me how you like the 2407.

I just have no way of testing this thing out! Is it a TN panel?

Coming from a dell 1901fp to my vx922... i'd have to say it's night and day. You notice a huge downgrade going from CRT to the vx922 though?


My questions from my previous posts still stand though, so answer if you guys can!
 
you guys gotta gemme some links.

iv been crying dells a bastard company for a while now but i didnt expect a freakin 50% comession. thats insane! their "deals" are still $200 more then what some of you guys are paying?

gooood i hate dell.
