dell 2407 does this monitor exist, when will it come out and what are it's advantages?

dell should come out with it though, cuz if they don't have a HDCP compliant display that is not the expensive 30in, they will loose customers to GATEWAY

No, they won't. The Gateway fpd2185w monitor is not that good. It has some huge flaws.

its not a matter of GOOD, its a matter of having HDCP... if Vista is the bitch that it saids its going to be about High Def videos and files, then those that wants it will have no choice but to go to gateway (again, pending on if DELL dosent introduce a 24 or 20in HDCP compliant display)

If the next Windows operating system requires HDCP compliance, I will personally assure you EVERY LCD from then on will have it.

Detail is lost because the screen is too dark. Component output is dark which just compounds the issue. The gradient banding, which is horrible IMO. The buzzing noise which was highly annoying to me.

It wont cost an arm and a leg, compared to other OS's at their time. Did Windows 95, or 98, cost 19.95? It will be had, at a typical price, and of course that means expensive when it comes out, but not "an arm and a leg".

for me this thing has really bad color differences between the center of the screen and the edges. blacks in particular lose a lot of detail in the center but if you look at it offset the detail is there.

i think mine is going back sometime this week.

i want too get another dell 24in to go with the one i have to run a dual screen, i'm afraid that when i buy it they will relese the new version.....

you know i dont think this monitor will be out soon......dell hasnt announced ANYTHING AT ALL at CES, they anouced the 30in and the new destops but nothing on the "new" lcd screens.
