I was helping a friend move his 2407 monitor and the button on the stand was pressed in and the monitor slid to the lowest position and now it is locked in the lowest position. I saw this happen on another Dell 2407 stand and tech support did not how to get the stand to release and wanted the monitor and the stand exchanged for a new one.
Does anyone know how to get the stand to release from this locked(?) low position. Could it be that both of these monitors had defective stands?
If the stand is defective, does anyone have a suggestion for dealing with Dell so they just send a new stand instead of exchanging the whole monitor like they want to? The monitor is a nice one with no problems.
Thanks.
