Hey guys, I've been debating on what monitor to get for a while now...the 2001fp, or the 2005fpw, i finally decided against the 2005fpw because of the lack of vertical space compared to the 2001. I then remembered the god-like 2405fpw...my roomate seems to think that the height of the 2405 is the same as the 2005 just wider...i dont believe this. So my question is to those who have this monitor..can soemone please measure the actual height and width of the VIEWING area. on the dell website they only have the overall height, and this doesnt help me at all. thanks

It's a FS thread for a 2005fpw, and the reason for selling it is because he got a brand new 2405fpw.
It clearly shows a large size difference.

your roomate doesnt know what he's talking about.
the 2405FP is the same heighth as the 2001FP but of course wider.

And to think I was gonna spend the money and buy a 2005fpw the next time they went on sale. After these pics IM lost as to what Im gonna do. Both nice but OH MY ****** goodness thats huge.

Well if you have the dough yeah it's very impressive. I myself am going for 2x 2005fpw's for about the same price as a single 2405fpw. I can't live without dual monitors anymore, but beyond that, I refuse to. Of course things like that are all about user preference and what you're using your machine for.
Anyway just my 2 cents.

Not trying to be an ass but you're wrong. Please check my earlier post. The 2405fpw is larger than the 2005fpw in both height and width.
