I have just purchased a 2405 after reading many reviews and comments about the monitor on these forums. Being a pretty hardcore cs:s player, I was weary of the lag times and the complaints I read on these forums. I decided to take the plunge regardless and am overall satisfied with my purchase. The monitor itself is gigantic and takes some getting used to. After about 2 weeks of owning it I finally feel that I'm getting accustomed to having all this screen space. In addition to being an avid gamer, I also run a multimedia design company out of my home. I previously owned a 21" Dell CRT monitor (which is for sale btw), and was still unsatisfied with the amount of screen space I had, particularly in flash and dreamweaver. I must say working in flash and dw is awesome now, and I never run out of room.

The only downside to this monitor that I have noticed is while playing games. I used to play cs at 800x600, so I decided to try it with this monitor. The lag time was absolutely terrible, and the screen blurred severely everytime I moved my crosshair. I couldn't hit a thing and my kd ratio went from a 4.0-5.0 average to a 1.0-2.0. This was quite frustrating and I contemplated returning it. I browsed the forums looking for a possible solution but found none. I decided to tinker around with the settings in CS a little before shipping it back to Dell. I tried it at it's native resolution, in hopes that the lag time would be reduced. The blurring and lag improved, but the game was still unplayable. I then tried it at 1200x768 and voila! The lag was still present, but only very slightly, and the blurring was almost nonexistent. It's still not as responsive as my CRT, but it is definetly playable. I don't understand why some resolutions would cause more lag than others, but I am pleased with my monitor now and will be holding on to it. :D

i hope its jsut your video card, casue you just freaked me out from buying one, keep getting freaked out reading all the bad threads...
