Dell 2405 Stand problems

so I took my 2405 with me to Quakecon this weekend and everything went well, I carried it in the box it came in with bubble wrap for extra protection. But for some reason, when I set it up at the convention, the stand would no longer raise or lower. It will still rotate but now its set low to the point where it scrapes the desk a little bit. Is there anything I can do here to fix this? Is there some button I may have hit in order to lock the stand down?

Any help is appreciated.

There's a button near the base of the stand at the back to release the stand...

Push the button on the back of the stand while pushing down on the top? That usually unlocks the button.
