This is the second time this has happened; when I boot the display stretches vertically two or three times what it's set to (1024x768).

Hardware:
Asus A7V + Athlon 900 Mhz (T-bird)
Radeon 9600 np (< 1 year old)
512 Mb ram (2 mismatched 256 Mb sticks of PC133)
Windows XP
Dell 2405 FPW

Connected via DVI to the monitor.

Fixing it simply requires me to alter the settings to something else and then change it back. It's happened twice in a few weeks. Anyone else experience this?

FWIW I'm upgrading soon to something that actually resembles a real computer. :p

I would strongly recommend that you run this monitor at its full native resolution. Your picture must look awfully stretched. Keep in mind that this monitor has 1920x1200 pixels. A lower resolution is stretched to fit, and loses its sharpness.

Of course this may require a new video card. I'm using an ABIT (ATI chipset).
