Dell 2405 card reader question?

I don't have the monitor but I do have a quick question.... how does the 9 in 1 card reader work? do you have to plug in a cable from the monitor to the pc or is the card reader seperate i.e plug in a SD card to the monitor and it loads up?

there is a usb cable going from the monitor to the computer
it powers the card reader and the Usb ports on the monitor

as long as the monitors on windows see's the reader and add's them as removable drives
SD/CF card goes into reader, you open up mycomputer and click the right drive.

The reader is built in

The reader is built into the monitor. You plug the card into the monitor on the left side of the display.
 
Each card reader slot shows up as a removable hard drive in "My Computer".

Put your card in, go to "My Computer" and double click the drive and you're good to go :)
