Thoughts?

The 2209WA seems to be sorted out now, any real drawbacks? E-IPS panel.

U2410 is larger and has full 1920x1200, which I like (and want). Apparently some dithering in RGB modes (not a big issue for me), and some panels have red/green tints as per HP2475. H-IPS over E-IPS.

So...which one?

TIA!

Well, the 1920x1200 resolution is far superior in my eyes so thats what I'd get. The 2209WA gives you more for your money though.

Don't think I want to go the two monitor route yet. The money difference between them isn't a huge issue. I just want the best monitor of the two.

Thanks again for the input!

U2410 is better overall but it is a wide gamut monitor so keep that in mind.

Got a U2410. Colors are nice, but some graininess (anti-glare) and the dithering in the RGB modes is annoying. First noticed it gaming with dark backgrounds. You can switch modes to alleviate this but the color schemes in the other modes are almost comic they are so extreme. Literally hard to look at. Laughable if it wasn't so frustrating.

I have no tint issues, however if I return this monitor to get flashed with the new firmware to address the dithering (which Dell is apparently working on, who knows when it will be available), then I enter the panel lottery regarding tint issues.

Sigh...I am contemplating returning it.

2 x 2209WA is a really good option...very good picture out of the box. It's a little on the thicker side, but overall for the price that we got them for, it was worth it...paid about 200 each...

U2410 for the resolution in my opinion. It is a bit expensive but sometimes Dell runs special discount offers. The U2410 is better and the 2209WA is cheaper but smaller, lower res, and doesn't have the connectivity that the U2410 does.

A reasonable alternative in the middle is the NEC 23" E-IPS EA231wmi monitor. It features great ergonomics (pivot, tilit, adjust, etc), displayport, and 1920x1080 resolution.

the 2209wa can be had for around $200 per - therefore, I justified three 2209WA's for eyefinity over one U2410.

^ almost always around $170 with recurring coupons. It's an excellent value, that's for sure. But it's annoying not to be able to even watch video at full 1920x1080 resolution.
