Is it normal and something considered as not replaceable item if the monitor produces a a quiet squeeky whine? And if there's a combination of specific colours on screen it turns more to an electric buzzing like sound and much more audible.

I want a quiet PC and I hate the fact that my monitor is a source of noise.

If you say the right thing to the Dell warranty support folks, they will replace just about anything...

I've had roughly 10 replacements of this monitor (bought 2) and they all had some kind of buzzing issue. In the end I sold one and make do with the other as a secondary display. Any loud noise from your monitor is grounds for a replacement. I had one monitor with 3 dead pixels, which was the first thing I mentioned to the Dell rep. He was unprepared to offer a replacement until I went on to say "it's also buzzing loudly".

Does anyone know if I should call for replacement at dell finland when I bought the monitor from dell germany since they don't sell monitors for private customers anymore in finland?

Maybe you should inform Dell to inform Foxconn to increase the quality:D

God no LOL

Exaggerate the issue a little and find every little problem (backlight bleed, tinting, dead or stuck pixels, backlight flicker etc.)

Just do as I mentioned for my returns, claim the noise is "loud". That'll do the job. Do not under any circumstances say "I can barely hear it, but it is annoying" :)

dont they check it, and then send me a bill afterwards? that'd be sad
