I may be wrong but this is the lowest price I've seen the 2007 for in a long time, it's been at around $370 for a while and $360ish prior to that. Throw some coupons on top of it and you got yourself a hot deal :p

edit: looks like the price is the same for both small business AND home, so you can take advantage of the deal using any coupon codes you may have

edit2: dell has already changed the price to $359, less than a day later, bleh

Sweet, although I find the actual pixel real estate is not much different on the DELL 20" than on the 19" one, in fact the 19" seems to have more vertical space. Two 19" side by side is smoking.

I had a question, having looked at your specs, - hows the 6800 performance on the 24-incher? Im planning to have exactly the same setup, just wondering how it is, refresh-rate wise and all.

thanks

M

Unfortunately, judging by some of the threads in the Displays forum, it seems as though the 2007WFP is now one of the "panel lottery" dell monitors. You aren't sure if you'll be getting IPS or PVA.

I heard the 2007wfp is guartanteed IPS .... heh only thing I heard bad about this monitor is awful banding issues :(

Yeah, it used to be IPS only, but some recent threads have shown WFPs shipping with PVA panels. :(

BTW, banding issue has been resolved since A01 firmware.

^^^
There was a price mistake a couple of months back. Some of the members here (myself included :D ) got in on the deal. Once in a lifetime deal.

I do see how it's a nice monitor and everything, as I have the 2005fpw and think it's great, but why haven't they lowered the response time? I mean hell, don't you guys think they should've made it like 8ms g to g?

Arrrg! They also dropped the free shipping, taking the price back up to the $379 w/ free shipping it was at before. frickin dell, I was just waiting for my check to clear... :(

dell can suck it  I spent hours with them on the phone tuesday trying to order two of these at the previous price with a 20% off coupon that I had and it wouldn't go through on the site (they said it needed manager approval?). Because of the trouble, they said that they would ship it out quickly. I checked the site last night to find that the price had dropped 40 bucks (without the 15 % off that they give) and called up for a price adjustment (just over 24 hours from ordering) in hopes of getting $80 dollars back. "I'm sorry sir, your monitor has already shipped, the best I can do is give you the price difference of the current (15% sale) price now." I ended up getting a whopping $24 dollars back because they can't apply a coupon to something that has already shipped (even if I go and get a different 20% off coupon & the order hasn't changed). Plus, they wouldn't give the 3% off that they usually do for the dell credit card (or whatever its called) account.

If I get one IPS and one PVA panel.....

I believe you clicked on the small business link from the OP. Dell home still has free shipping on that monitor.

AFAIK, you are guaranteed IPS for the wide screen version, but will have to play the panel lottery for the non-wide screen one (2007FP--without the W). Someone can confirm this for me, but I'm almost certain that's the case.

CORRECTION: From some very recent posts, it seems like PVA panels are just starting to trickle in for the 2007wfp.

So just to make sure I have been following this right, you WANT the IPS version right? I just ordered mine last night and it shipped today so I just wanted to make sure.

Yes.

What is with Dell and fluctuating prices recently?

What do you mean fluctuating prices recently? Dell has always changed the prices of their products on a whim.

Well I got my monitor on Tuesday and set it up that night and damn what a nice monitor. I have yet to check if it is IPS or not but it is just beautiful. Going from a 17" to a 20" widescreen is just amazing. While playing WoW now I don’t feel the screen is cluttered to hell and I have actually had a hard time keeping track of where my mouse icon is.

Can't wait till I buy a 2nd one of these.

How can this be checked? Also, this mon doesn't suffer from SDE like my Samsung 205BW or the Viewsonic VX2025, does it?
