what's teh best way to connect the Wii to this monitor?

It has DVI, VGA, Composite and S-Video set-up. No component.

so either

1) Use cables that come with Wii and hook up Composite (not sure how good this will look)

2) Wait for S-Video cables to show up on market and buy them

3) Wait for VGA cable to show up on market and buy it

4) Get a DVI to Component (or is it vice versa) and the component Wii cables and hook it up [How would this work exactly? Do I need a specific ATI card to do this? Thanks.]

5) Get a Component to VGA (or is it vice versa) and the component Wii cables and hook it up.

Finally, I know the Wii doesn't have optical output so where do I plug in the other 2 coloured wires into? Thanks.

Hook it up via VGA and run 480p....I assume by 'colored wires' you mean the audio connections? If so then those will plug into your speakers assuming you have a set.

I think I need some kind of adapter to use the Red and White wires because I have the Logitech Z-5500's and there is no place to plug those in.

Also - there is no VGA cord so what do I need to run VGA? I assume I need the component cables and VGA to component (or vice versa)

I have Logitech X230 speakers and they came with the proper adapter....it should be easy to find one in just about any store that carries electronics however. You will need a VGA hookup but I see now from your original post you don't have one...is there one available for Wii? The 2007FPW doesn't have component so that won't be an option and I don't think it would look great with composite but it might tide you over until you can get a VGA cable.
