looking to get a new monitor but i'm not sure if i should get the 2007FP or WFP

i like widescreen resolutions but the main reason I'm thinking of the FP over the WFP is the option to run 1600x1200

if i do get the FP i should still be able to run widescreen modes like 1600x900 or 1600x1024 without any problems?

thanks

Arn't they both 1650x1050?

No. The FPW has a native resolution of 1680x1050 since its a 16x10 aspect ratio monitor. The FP has a native resolution of 1600x1200; 4:3 aspect ratio.

Why? I would rather play the lottery on the 2007FPW myself...but that's just me.
I played the lottery and found the S-PVA 2007WFP unusable. I'm returning and will be buying from a company where I know what panel I'll be getting.

So you would pay $110 more just for silver base legs, 2 USB ports and Composite,S-Video connector ?

It's much more than that (see my sig...I own one) and if you take away the Dell name and the similar styling to the 2007....the $289 price of the E207 is a little high vs comparable TN monitors from other makers.

I thought the E207fpw is a TN panel vs the 2007fpw's S-PVA & S-IPS?

I'm not a fan of the TN panel, so I'd pay more for the chance to get an S-IPS.
