Dell 2005fpw -- Return Question

It arrived almost a week ago now and is beautiful, except for one pixel that's stuck green. Its not in the middle of the screen but a bit off to the left side and a little low, but not in the corner either. 95% of the time I can't tell its there and then I have to look for it. Overall the backlight bleeding isn't too bad either, so my question to other 2005fpw owners is do you have any dead pixels? I'd like it to go away but if the odds or pretty good that the replacement will have a dead pixel as well then I'm not sure its worth it.

Overall the color is great and no ghosting, so I'm really happy I paid the extra and went with it over the 930b -- now if it didn't have that one little pixel.

Thanks,

I just got mine today, with a one stuck red and one dead. The both are in the center area. I am having them exchange. I won't be happy until zero dead or stuck pixels.

Sorry to say, you won't be happy. As long as they're not in the middle, and you only have 1 or 2, that you can barely ever notice (and little to no backlighting) KEEP the screen, as it's about as good as they get. There is NO "perfect" monitor.

I have a 2005 with no dead or stuck pixels. I bought mine off of the for sale forum, so I got lucky. The backlight bleeding is not noticible either. Dont settle for less than perfect. You paid top dollar for it, make sure they get it right.

I had 4 stuck on green, on my newly arrived 2405. I called Dell, spoke with a customer service rep and told her I needed a replacement monitor sent. took about 10 minutes and they overnighted me a new monitor.

Should arrive today... I can live with a few dead pixels, but stuck on really suck.
