Hey guys.

I'm kind of confused with these three things. I currently am running my new Dell 2005FPW at 1680x1050 @ 60hz. Now, is that an ok htz to be running at? I have a ATI 9800PRO 128mb, and can "override" the hertz, but will this be beneficial?

Also, with my CRT, I ALWAYS left Vertical Sync off. Is this something I should turn on now with an LCD? Or does it not matter?

Thanks in advance guys. I'm new to this whole LCD deal, as you can probably tell!

I play games with vertical sync off. Even though the monitor doesn't refresh faster than 60 hz, the game feels smoother when it can render at 100 fps (CS in particular)

My monitor arrived today. So far i've found I can run hl2 at native res with vsyn @2x antialiasin g and I have no dramatic frame drop. I was getting anoyed by the tearing so to speak without vsync.
