I know this is kind of lame, however I can't remember which way Dell had the panel facing in the box as I'm packing it back up. I know someone had pictures here on the forum, but I couldn't find them. So a quick question that has a quick answer. For the 2005fp, should the monitor be facing up or down at the bottom of the box?

Dunno if this helps any but I recently sent back my 2001FP for a refund and the lcd panel was at the very bottom of the box, screen facing down. It wouldnt fit properly with the screen facing upward.

clear yeah i was trying to think of the same thing. also, which bag goes with the stand and which goes with the display? i guess the bigger one goes with the stand.

i am almost positive that the display was face down btw.

Mild backlight leakage, not enough real estate for my tastes. Ordered a 2405fp to replace it. Honestly, the backlight issue didn't bother me at all. I just felt that going from 1280*1024 to 1680*1050 wasn't enough for my tastes. I'm gonna try the 1920*1200 of the 2405fp, see how I like that. If that doesn't cut it, I may just go with dual monitors.

Yeah, the stand has the bigger bag, I remembered that much, I just couldn't recall which way the monitor should be facing on bottom, and I would hate to have this get damaged when it is returned to Dell.

I'm pretty sure it was face down.

But there should be a diagram somewhere, either printed on the box or on a flyer that came with the monitor. Check the box's flaps.
