Just got my 2001fp and must say I love it, virtually no ghosting. Got lucky as well I have no dead pixels or back light problems. Currently I am running mine at 1280X1024 on desktop reso, just wondering what all the other 2001fp owners are running. 1600x1200 looks better but just seemed to small for me.

It looks better at 1600 x 1200 as that's it native resolution. LCDs have to work to display at resolutions at other than native, and often look poopy.

As stated, you can change you default font sizes to help out - some of my users at work love the 1920 x 1200 res of our laptops, but don't like the small font size so I make it bigger fo them and they tend to be happy.

Peace,
Tim

Well I was playing with some math and noticed that 1600x1200 comes out to 1.33, 1280x1024 comes to 1.25, and 1280x960 comes to 1.33. Came up with this by dividing the 2. Just curious, because I read alot of people saying run at 1280x1024 on this montior if not 1600x1200 but 1280x960 keeps the same ratio. And if i set it this way it removes the option for image settings which allows you to set it to fill the screen.

He is trying to point out that 1280x1024 is 5:4 aspect ratio while the rest are 4:3

I'm surprised you find 1600x1200 on the 2001fp too small. I actually find it larger than I'd like. However, increasing the dpi will indeed help you.

Exactly, I think the UXGA 20" Panels look a little grainy, they would be perfect at 2048x1536.

I didnt follow the link to check it, but I assure you that it is incorrect. I have Windows XP Professional with SP1 and There are two settings, 96dpi and 120dpi. I am currently running at 120dpi.

Currently windows xp does not support higher than 96dpi according to this article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=820286

Also increasing the dpi would make the text smaller.

Its an LCD.

Either native or 1:2 (800x600) will look the best. Other WILL be pixelated.

I have desktop at 16x12 (LOVE IT) and games at 800x600 (for now)
