Dell 2001fp burnin problems

I just noticed my LCD has burn in. I noticed that through the black background of hardforums, I could see remnants of text from working on MS Word. Is there a fix to this?

My brother has had this monitor since it came out, and just recently he noticed that on solid colors his recycle bin is still visible. When you start xp you can see the recycle bin on the welcome screen. Or when he watches a dvd you can see it in the black bar. So you aren't alone in this problem.

Try unplugging the LCD for a few hours. That should usually take care of the problem. Or set a white screen for like 24hrs.

Thanks, but it comes up very frequently even after it clears. Would that still solve the problem?

Did you unplug the power cord?
