Hello guys,
what is the best delied tool for Skulake X CPUs ?
May I use Delid-Die-Mate-2 for Skylake X ?
Or it is a better one ?

der8auer one is much better than rokit for 2066 i.e. it works and you don't have to bake the cpu or any other bs.

There are very limited reasons to delid a soldered processor. Protip: if you're in the camp of asking any questions, anywhere, you probably shouldn't.

I used the Rockit on my 7700x with no problems. Quick and easy, at least for me.

I made something at home to delid my 7700k worked just fine. I didn't see the point in buying something I would only use once.

I have the rockit 88 delid and relid tool, the copper ihs too. I did the delid yesterday for my 6700k and it was very straight forward actually. Applied tg conducto with the die, kapton tape around die, dieand ihs cleaned by 99% isopropyl. Used the relid tool and it's curing as we speak.

I am posting because I am asking for help. I used a gasket sealer permatex 82194 between PCb and ihs. I layed down a line around the ihs that left .5inch gap for CPU air expansion. After clinching down the ihs and waiting for it to cure, I can just imagine the sealant spreading out and negating the gap.

How can I tell if that gap is still there without breaking it open?
