Im thinking about delidding my 8600k to lower temps. Im currently running an 8600k @ 4.8ghz and it does it p95 stable at 1.24 volts. My max temps are 77c under p95 after an hour. One of the big questions i have is would it be better to delid to lowe temps or get a AIO? I currently have a Noctua U14S and i feel its about maxed out at 4.8ghz. One of the issues is my pc is in my closet and it can get warm in the summer (about 78-80f during the day). Another big question i have is if i delid, does this hurt my resale value? Thanks

Deliding would likely improve temps a lot more this moving to an AIO. Especially since your current cooler is quite capable. Not sure if it would increase clocks as that can be dependent on luck as well. I bet you could at least get another 100-200 out of it though.

As far as resale value, not sure. I would almost think it would increase resale value.

AIO won't be any better than your U14S. Could hurt resale, could help it, depends on the market when you intend to resale. Hope the ambients are better than that in the closet, more than the CPU need cooling. Get it out of there, or open the door or something, 80f ambient is not good.
