Does going through the headphone out on your speakers, as opposed to directly from the sound card, when plugging in your cans degrade the sound quality any?
I use the HD595 connected to the receiver/control unit for the Z5500 speakers, and find the sound (music) via digital connection (X-Fi to speaker receiver) to be as good as connecting the headphones directly to the X-Fi card; plus, then I can keep my annalog cables connected to the card for speaker use in gaming.
Does anyone know if the receiver for the Z5500 has OpAmps as the X-Fi card has? If so, are both sets of OpAmps (those in the receiver and those in the X-Fi) both employed in my type of headphone connection to speakers/receiver?
Why do my headphones sound as good connected to my speakers as they do connected directly to the card?
