Hey all,

I have recently bought an AZENRAM 256mb PC133 to give a little boost to my secondary PC, but when I installed it, my computer registers it at 131 megs of ram. So i quickly went back to the store and exchanged it for another one. Low and behold my computer was still registering it as 131 megs. The wierd thing is that my secondary PC already has an AZENRAM 256mb PC133 ram module, but my PC can register it at 256meg. The only difference visually is how the modules are placed on each stick of ram. I should be getting a total of 512megs, but I get a total of 387 megs. Also the store I bought it from is Future Shop(Canadian version of BestBuy) so I doubt they are shady company. Do you think it is my PC that is registering wrong, or could it be that I have really bad luck in buying defective ram?

did you check your mobo specs to see what type of ram it needs (low density or of it works with high density ram?) also try putting the biggest stick ram in the first slot.
