Hello,

I just installed a BFG 6800 OC, but the image comes out like this !http://img277.echo.cx/my.php?image=dsc035800eh.jpg
I dont know whats happening, i have a 400 PSU, i reset the BIOS and still the image comes out fuzzy...very fuzzy...

Does anyone have any suggestions? i need to know so that if somethings really wrong with it so i can take it back to the store...

Thanks

do you have another card you can put in there to narrow the issue down more? It does look like the card is hosed, but another working card could confirm that.

absolutely....it was working fine with my 9800 pro before i installed it, and its working fine right now with my 9800 pro...

Make sure the card's extra power dongle is plugged in (supposadly the system won't boot unless it is, but check anyway). Also make sure all screws are tightened down, and if you are using a DVI to Analog adapter for some reason (the card has 1x Analog and 1x DVI, at least mine does) that the adapter works.

yea its dead give em a call and thall get you fixed ^^ i love BFG

or many be that PR guy will see then and get you a new card ^^

Seen that before (on an old ELSA GF2mx card I had) - you got yourself some bad ram on that card. BFG will take care of you in short order.

Peace,
Tim

Man, its too bad that you have a hosed card, but if anyone will take care of you its BFG. I had a 5900 XT OC that went up in smoke just 2 weeks ago, and they replaced it with a 6800 OC. That kind of service will keep me buying from them. No one else wants to give out more that a year warranty, and its like pulling teeth to get them to honor it, but not BFG! A five minute phone call, and four days later I had a new card!

Screw the RMA process, if you got it last night take it back to the retailer.

They're really good with RMA's. I called them, told them my problem, deteremined it was the card (it was really a subjective call, but they took my word that it was the card) and 10 minutes later, they said I'll set you up with an RMA.

I sent the card in, and 2 days after they received it, I got a new card. Love their service :D

BFG's customer service / tech support is solid. I've had one of their 6600GT OC (AGP) cards go bad on me, and I had a replacement in just a few days. Best of all, their tech support people were friendly, and weren't a bunch of drones reading off flow charts.
