default 3800 voltage?

depends on the core

newcastle = 1.5v
venice = 1.35-1.4v
manchester = ~1.3v

AMD = Too many damn cores now with too many different names and overlapping speeds. I'm an AMD person and I'm starting to get confused.

How man 3000+'s and 3200's are there now?...it's getting ridiculous.

3000+
clawhammer = 1024kb, 1.8ghz, s754
newcastle = 512kb, 2.0ghz, s754
winchester = 512kb, 1.8ghz, s939
venice = 512kb, 1.8ghz, s939

3200+
clawhammer = 1024kb, 2.0ghz, s754
newcastle = 512kb, 2.2ghz, s754
winchester = 512kb, 2.0ghz, s939
venice = 512kb, 2.0ghz, s939

that wasn't too painful, was it? :D

thats "including" buddy ;)

well, there were only barton core 3000 and 3200 models, but two versions of the 3000... 333fsb and 400fsb, but the 400 was OEM only

so barton core only :p

Now explain that to Joe Sixpack and he'd basically say the hell with AMD. :(

he doesn't need to know. just get him either of the s939 varients, as the differences don't mean anything to him ;)

It's just ridiculous, period. :(
nah, the situation isn't as bad as it used to be, with the older cores being somewhat non-existant these days.

there is no toledo 3800+, but that's the same as manchester

There is a toledo version for the x2 3800+, same as 4200+ and 4600+. However, it has half the L2 cache disabled, so the result is the same.

I'm guessing these are the chips that people are getting excellent overclocking on!
