The staff at PureOverclock were not only impressed by the performance of the Deepcool Frostwin Heatpipe HSF, they say the price is "best deal" they have seen to date.

Deepcool is a name that most of us recognize in air cooling solutions. As mentioned, their product ranges for high end super computers to OEM manufacturers, making them an all around supplier whose main focus is thermal cooling. Deepcool’s tradition and reputation continues here with the Frostwin.

Numb nuts put the damn thing on backwards. Of course it *DOESN'T* have memory clearance issues when its on backwards.

I'm just flabbergasted. I could do a better review in my sleep.

The lga 2011 has ram slot on both sides of the cpu so orientation would not have mattered.

The heatsink had to be installed backwards on the AM3 and the 1155 because the ram was in the way. They installed it backwards because of the clearance issue. The issue was not cause by installing it backwards.

It would be nice if they gave an availability date tho. I can't find this thing for sale online.

The Clearance issue was averted BECAUSE they put it on backwards. How often do you have the heatsink sucking air from the exhaust fan?

Nimrods.

That's what my post said. Work on your reading comprehension before you start name calling.

My point is that they would have had a problem if they had installed it properly. Thats it. No one in their right mind installs a CPU cooler like that.

Also, not calling you a nimrod, I'm calling them nimrods.

Your first post claims they had issues with clearance because it was installed backwards.

The article says it has clearance issues. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. The article talks about the clearance issues. Mounting it backwards on an open bench doesn't really effect temps and was better than not giving us results.
