What I'm looking for is something really simple, but maybe too niche to exist.

Dedicated volume and mute buttons or knob (and ideally, a mic mute), ideally something that *isn't* multipurpose, i.e. has clearly labelled audio controls.

Any suggestions? Just to clarify, I'm NOT looking for an audio interface. And not something e.g. like a Mackie Big Knob as it has to work with USB headsets as well.
 
The Big Knob (nice porn name btw) looks pretty ideal. Maybe a less expensive version by Behringer? Not sure on this one.
 
Yeah - as I said, the Big Knob is not appropriate. I'm not looking for an analog attenuator or a soundcard.

Basically, the volume controls (+ ideally transport controls) that you find on a typical media keyboard is all I want - but in a separate package.
