I currently have a little server setup with a Areca 1210 card. it is working great but I have already filled up 6TB of storage.

I have another card like this available to me, but I also have a Areca 1222 8 also. Would it be better to just add the second 1210 to the existing system or just move all data to the 1222 card?

Also of the Norco 3116 or 3216 which is the better case to use? I know that the 3216 has SAS connectors and I have the cables for this, but if I go with the Areca 1222 I don't have the SAS to SAS cable.

All of this equipment was basically given to me, so that I why I am not sure which to use, I also need a decent motherboard to use, something with onboard graphics and hopefully the pcie slots close together, as both of these cases usually cover up the last couple of slots.
