I'm looking to buy a new set of memory for a total of 8 gigs.

I've kinda narrowed it down to these two sets, any opinions

4-4-4-12 at 1.8v for 65 no MR

4-4-4-15 at 2.1v for 66 -20 MR, assuming MR is only for one set per customer

Concern on the OCZ being the heatpipe hitting something.

i have the ocz reaper, but in the 1066mhz series, all 4 banks are full. the sticks do touch each other on the top black part of the heat pipe, but its no big deal

if u really want that -12 timing, and at a lower voltage, go for it, i can see its tricky position for u, one has a MIR, other has better timings at lower voltage, but i can vouch for the Reapers

I'm thinking the heatpipe would hit the Ninja Heatsink I have.

I recommend against those Ballistix sticks, since they tend to fail quite often. Also, here's a kit of DDR2-1000 G.Skill memory which is the same price as the DDR2-800 kit you linked: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231145

My recommendation is for either the G.Skill I linked or for the OCZ. Either one will do fine.
