Hi, I can not decide between HP and Z27i Benq BL2710PT.
I have read some reviews and many times saw these videos:
IPS glow comparison

and Earth

IPS glow looks stronger for HP Z27i, but it's hard to tell if the monitors are not next to each other. The monitor'll look straight, but I do not want that in dark scenes, shining corners, as I have seen here in the photos Z30i HP, does the same Z27i or not? A BL2710PT is better in this respect?

HP Z27i
$ 664
+ more uniform backlight?
+ Better output control and warranty?
+ Less chance of backlight bleeding?
+ For $ 22 I can buy 5y NBD warranty (BL2710PT the standard 3y warranty) I do not know how this item is important.
- By Prad uses PWM (although at high frequency) BL2710PT absolutely no PWM
- Stronger IPS glow?

Benq BL2710PT
$ 609

the price difference is not too large, which monitor is better?

Overall, I'm surprised that here on HP Z27i not talk much. Why?

There's no reason to consider the HP27i as it costs more and offers no performance benefit over the BL2710PT.

The BL2710PT and the AOC Q2770QPU would be good choices depending where you live.

If you want a glow-free panel try for the EV2736W, but keep in mind, that myself and a few other users have reported glow in the bottom left corner of the monitor on recently purchased models.

Monitors mentioned and their respective threads:

Eizo EV2736W

AOC Q2770QPU

BenQ BL2710PT

There are not enough user reports to know if the Z27i has better quality control and it is unlikely that it does. The Z30i uses a wide gamut panel, and wide gamut panel glow is far more pronounced compared to the standard gamut monitors. Glow differences between the non-glow free, standard gamut panels is minimal and not worth worrying about unless monitors with edge-to-edge glass or Plasma Deposition Coating are being considered. The Z27i is not popular because they did not market it, and it costs quite a bit more than the Asus, AOC and BenQ 1440p monitors in North America. I would spend the extra 60$ on the HP since they tend to have higher measured contrast and it matches the BL2710PT performance in other areas.

Is HP z27i still relevant today? How is it compared to the Eizo EV2736? Is it worth it's price?
