I too would say a standard pair of headphones with the clip on mic, the best setup I've used was my HD555's with zalman mic. When I switched to a "normal" headset from creative all my friends bitched about background noise in vent, where I didnt have that with the zalman mic. Also the HD555's are pretty comfortable for long gaming sessions where as the creative headset would put too much pressure on my ears.
