I'm looking to make get a new build, but I'm pretty new to building and all the specs and such. I was looking at the XFX 5750 with a 24" and moderate gaming, but I heard this card wasn't the greatest for that size. Any suggestions on which card to get for this screen size?

I'm gonna be using the Intel i5 570, Gigabyte Intel P55 atx, 4GB DDR3, and currently looking at the 500W Cooler Master eXtreme psu.

Thanks.

Screensize does not matter, only the resolution you plan on playing at. The difference between 22 and 24 is large, as most 22 inch monitors are just stretched 1680x1050 panels (same as 20 inch). 24 inch monitors are generally 1920x1200 or 1920x1080.

What games are you planning on playing?

Well a 5750 probably wouldn't be your best bet for above 1680 x 1050 res, I would at least go for the 5770 (which is a little bit slower than 4870/gtx260).

5850 would be great but depending where you live it might be very hard to find one.

The rest of your system looks good except for the psu, which is actually quite bad, in second thoughts i wouldn't try to use anything over 4870/5770 power usage on that.

HD 5770 is a good start, it's about as powerful as the HD 4870, but with DX11 and consumes less power.

The HD 4890 is more powerful than the HD 5770, but is DX10.1.

HD 5850 was considered the best bang for the buck, but that was before prices dramatically increased. A very powerful card, but unfortunately due to limited supply it is both rare and expensive.
