So I'm looking to replace my Deathadder and I currently have my eyes set on the Corsair M65.

Is there anyone that has owned both mice?

I absolutely love the Deathadder but I'm on my second one now and this one has the double click issue after only like 8 months which sucks so I want to move on to another mouse. But I haven't found another mouse that feels as good in my hand as the Deathadder. So if not the M65, does anyone know a mouse that has the same feel as a Deathadder? I use palm grip.

me! :D

First of all I must say. OMG flash brings out every single spec of dust!!!

With that said. I love the Razer Deathadder feels perfect. I like it more then my Razer Taipan (smaller feel) Only thing I miss is the mouse dpi speed button like the G500. Came real handy in games like Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 when your in a tank. Helps speed the tank turret turns quicker.

I bought the M65 out of curiosity from a [H]ot|DEALS http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1813033

Mine arrived two days ago so keep in mind, I dont have enough experience time with the M65 I'm still trying to feel what is it that I'm feeling. May be its the weights. I have yet to remove them. The M65 glides better then the Deathadder on the Razer Destructor 2 mouse pad. But I also remember the Deathadder at once had that super slick glide. Could be the Deathadder Teflon feet is worn in and the M65 Teflon has yet to be broken in.

I do like the M65 left side curved lip. I guess some would call it thumb rest lol. My thumb has someplace to rest on when I relax the thumb. I am glad the M65 has the dpi speed setting button.

Now for that sniper button. Its not auto-aim lol.(whew) It just lower the dpi setting to help give you that precise aim. But if your good at aiming or that twitchy shooter. Or one of those recon folks that like to show off and be in the heat of the action lol. I find it super annoying and useless. I feel like I spend more time trying to aim with the stupid sniper button then just aim and shoot. Playing recon in BF4, im better without the sniper button

I do think the sniper button is a bit far from the thumb as some people have said, if one play with a "palm." I think the sniper button should been somewhere between the two thumb click buttons. But if I play "claw" I can reach the sniper button" Unfortunately I'm a "palm" player Which is also why I dislike the Razer Taipan. (that mouse was just to small to use when your in the heat of battle) That mouse feels more like for "claw" type users. M65 do feels like it can be use as a palm or claw users. But if your a palm user and you want to use that sniper button, I just don't see it working out for a palm user

Good luck

Might want to look into the Steelseries Sensei (RAW version). The shape and feel of the mouse is very similar to the deathadder.

SteelSeries Rival is the closest you're going to get to the Deathadder.
I would highly recommend it over the M65.

I have been an m60 and now m65 user. havent found anything as good.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I previously owned a SteelSeries Ikari which died after a few months so I'm not too sure about their build quality. Maybe I'm just unlucky but my first Deathadder lasted more than two years.

Caddys83: Thanks a whole lot for such a detailed response. I think I'll go for the M65 for sure. Gonna go buy it tomorrow. Thanks again!

I agree that the deathadder has a great shape and feel in the hand. And the sensor is bang on. The double click issue... Yeah... I just got a deathadder to play with alongside my m65, and I greatly prefer the shape of the deathadder. They definitely don't compare in hand feel, though the m65 is find in every other aspect though, the sensor is great and the buttons are great. So, of I were you, I'd look into something more similar shaped to the deathadder, but with better reliability.

When my deathadder finally broke I bought a M95 amongst many other potential replacements. I stuck with the M95.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the M65 and M95 the same thing except the M95 is made for MMOs so it has more buttons?

No they are not the same. Check out the images and specs.

I had the 65 also, preferred the feeling of the 95.

They are physically very different, and additionally have different button layouts.

Oh yeah you're right. Hmmm. I think I'm still going to go with the M65 though. I'll never need all those buttons on the M95. I play FPS mostly.

I play FPS also. It was more about comfort. The buttons believe it or not are not even in the way. I have never accidentally hit one.

How is the weight compared to the Deathadder and does it come with changeable weights like the M65?

EDIT: Also does the black version come with the same soft touch finish as the M65?
