We have not yet published our review on the ASUS ROG STRIX X399-E GAMING motherboard, mainly because we have been using it for Threadripper overclock and cooling testing. It has been great to work with and given me no issues for weeks now. It is on sale at Amazon currently for $321 after a $35MIR. This is a great deal on a great motherboard.

Why they make all nice board as a Eatx?
My mid atx case is already too big.lol
So this borad fits any full atx case?

There's a single openbox gigabyte board for $268, too, if you feel like gambling on whether the pins are undamaged.

Is that better than the ASRock x399? I am leaning towards ASRock at the moment.

one is under the pch heatsink, the other is a vertical m.2 slot near the front of the board by the memory and 24 pin power connector.

Not a fan of those vertical ones. Don't understand why they would ever need to do it vertically on an EATX motherboard especially.
