Deal i got for $125

Got a pc from one of my buddies for $125. How did i do?

Amd Phenom x4 9850 Black 2.5
8gb Gskill ddr2
MSI ka780g
And it had an 80gb sata drive in it

Board has many nice features. Onboard hdmi, esata, optical audio. I was getting ready to buy a low budget system and instead i ran into this deal. If i get a video card shall i be gaming?
 
Yeah good deal. Probably got it for around half of what it is worth.
 
Pretty good OP.

Sell that CPU here for $40 here or $70+ on ebay and pick up a real quad Athlon II or Phenom II.
 
Ya it came with a chieftec case, that has a monitor mount on the front of it. So I got it up and running but this thing is like a jet. Any good recommendations on a quiet heatsink? This thing is loud
 
that cpu is a dog for gaming, a newer dual core would be a better setup. What psu does it have, model and make. If its low end you will be stuck with a radeon 4670 or so, which is fine for mid level gaming on 1280x1024/1440x900.

Coolermaster Hyper 212+ will do you well for 30$.
