well i was updating my bios in the rig listed below. the asus utility program said the flash was successful and asked to be rebooted. i happily complied and when the system rebooted, all i got was a black screen. after all the "holy sh*ts" and "wtf's" i decided to take this mobo out and reinstall my ic7/p4 2.4 combo and figure out the other problem at a later date.

i got the system all setup. was gonna make sure it worked and then format and reinstall my software. i booted the system up and again just a black screen. no post or beeps. again i went through some "wtf's". i moved the memory around, swapped video cards and still nothing. i shut the computer off and tried a cold boot. the green light on the mobo is lit but the power does not come on. i don't know what to do. i greatly appreciate your help. thanks.

a little update. i turned the system on this morning and "voila", the power turned on. there is still no boot or beeps. seems like i'm screwed. :(

Have you tried jumping the PSU to see if it runs with no load?

If you take the CPU or memory or video card out and turn power on, do you get warning beeps?

well now there's no power again. i removed the memory and video card and it seems dead again. if i let it sit awhile, the power will come back on. weird.
