Yesterday my computer ran perfectly fine, no issues. Today, I try to power on my pc and I get nothing. No fan spin up, nada. I suspected that maybe the powerswitch on my cheapo case decided to stop working. So I unplugged the switch and shorted the pins on the motherboard as a bypass. Still nada. To make sure I was sorting the pins, I used a jumper instead of a screwdriver too. Still no power up. I know the motherboard is receiving power because its light is on (asus p5b deluxe)

So to make sure the switch was recieving power, I took out my multimeter and measured the current coming out of the pins. 0.385ma at 2.7v. So i'm not sure why my computer won't even reach bios. Any ideas?

unplug the system.. pull the cmos battery for 30 seconds.. then try it again.. if that doesnt work pull the 20+ 4 plug out and wait 1-2 minutes.. plug it back in and see if it works..

also, unplug your usb slots as they tend to overload your computer but that was with more outdated computers
