what major retailers (online or B&M) have the best dead pixel return policies. I dont wanna buy my monitor from the egg cause of the 8 dead pixel policy. Also is it worth it to buy an extended warrenty on a monitor. BTW im looking at the 215tw and the vx2025wm.

Zip Zoom Fly sent me the following as their dead pixel policy:
Thanks for contacting ZipZoomFly!

as the remaining area of the LCD.

If you still have further questions, please call 510 739 1890 x2200.

As far as computer retailers go, i thought that was pretty decent and relatively fair-- 3 dead center or 4 dead on the rest of the display is a replacement unit. As another person had stated in the big thread about the VX20205WM, buy.com is a good bet too-- you can return merchandise to them if you're dissatisifed and they will take care of you, the only downside in that case is that they're a bit more pricey...although, if you've never shopped with them, you can use their $15 off any computer item $200 or more coupon to get a bit of a discount.

My Mom swears by Costco. She even took back an office/massage chair after the massager cut out. Paint was chipped off and it was over a year old and they took it back! Craziness.
