Dead LCD

Just a quick question, and I figured some of you would have as good of answers as anywhere. I think my monitor is crapping out on me. It's an LG Flatron L1715S (I'm sure that isn't really relavant) ... just today, it went black while I was using it. The green light stayed on (didn't go orange) so that was pretty wtf... I turn it off, then back on, it works... but only for about 10 seconds and then nothing. PC itself is fine... I tried the monitor on other PC's and with different cords etc, and it just keeps doing the same thing. It's about 3 years old, and I'm fairly sure it's just time to bite the bullet and get a new one. Think I'm right? Is there anything I could try? Just looking to see what the general concensus is here. Thanks
 
Since that's a 17 incher you now have the perfect excuse to upgrade to a 20-24" widescreen. :)

edit- to answer your question, it sounds like the power supply is fading and unless it's still under warranty it wouldn't be worth the cost to have it fixed.
 
Ok thanks both of you. It is out of the warrantee period, as I expected. Appreciate the help
