I already know the answer to this, but I still have to ask....

I'm at Quakecon....and my Leadtek 6800GT AGP is dead. Artifacting in Bios(flashing, miscolored,missing gfx and text)-unable to boot into windows (restarts after load). At first I thought (hoped) that it may be a power issue. But, same issues in two other rigs with good power supplies. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sucks, I was looking forward the the BYOC this year :(
 
lol, dude, stay at Quakecon! It'd still be a good time! And hell, you might even pick up a good deal on a 7800GT or something.

man, these last few days of me spiking a hole in my dead AMD 2800+ 64 and making into a necklace has me thinking, gangsters and !!!!!!s have their "bling", what about geek "bling"? a good buisness no? now a video card necklace? I think we might have a new fashion here people. I have an idea, go find dead pc parts, whatever you can find, and spike a hole in them and sell them at QuakeCON so you can get something decent from the dealers.

but hey, I feel for you, I was at a LANWAR in KY a year or so back, and my 5200 died on me, so I had to overcharge my card to get something good from the dealers the had there so I could play, because it was only 1 hour into the event. that must suck.

oh - crap... you have to subscribe to get to the General Mayhem section... sorry... there was some talk about blingin ram with a pic of some shiny OCZ and I suggested they make a necklace out of it... lol... anyways... that was the long and the short of it.
