Ok, i know this is possible, but I'm not sure what it's called, so I'll just explain what I want to do.

I have my att uverse router/modem in my living room. My desktop pc is in a room directly above my living room. I have an existing Linksys PCI wifi card but my asus mobo doesn't have any PCI slots, anyway.

I have ddwrt installed on a linksys wrt54g wifi router (not sure exact model). What I'd like to do is have my linksys router (with ddwrt) pick up on my uverse wifi which would then allow me to use ethernet to connect my PC (and bluray player) to the linksys router

If you could help me out with setting this up or point me to some existing ddwrt documentation, i'd appreciate it.

This should do it

well i've just spent the past 2 hours trying to configure that, and I have no luck.

While viewing the Network and Sharing center in w7, I'll connect to the network, which will then "connect" to the internet for about 20 seconds, and then disconnect.

I'm ready to pull my hair out on this. I've read all over the ddwrt wiki and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the f'ing problem is. When i go to my uverse RG configuration screen, under the IP Address Allocation section, I can see my PC and it says the current IP and DHCP Connected. However, when I run a ipconfig /renew, I get the following message
Code:
An error occured while renewing interface Local Area Connection 2 : unable to contact your DHCP server, Request has timed out

Well I don't know if you want to change firmware but I did this using Tomato USB.
