Hi,

I'm looking at a Dell T7810 Precision workstation to bolster my home lab, I'd like the potential to get to 256GB RAM within the lifetime of the box, which means looking at 32GB DIMMS to avoid swapping in the future. Dell will sell you a box with 256GB in it but for a price & I'm looking to buy from the UK Outlet. I'm looking at E5-2609 v3 CPU's if that's important.

Has anyone got any experience with these machines & which memory options will work? I'm inclined to think the 32GB DIMMS used in DL380 G9's etc.. will be suitable but there's very little information around (at least that I've been able to find).

Any thoughts welcome!

Thanks,

Rob
