Hi!

I have a little question for you guys. I'm building a Conroe rig, mainly for gaming, and I'm still undecided on RAM.
Which one is the best for its value: Note that I won't overclock that much. I don't know if it makes a difference by saying this...

$220-240 CAD Mushkin EM PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL5-5-5-12 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit

$260 CAD G.Skill Extreme F2-6400PHU2-2GBZX 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Kit 4-4-4-12

I mean, do the timings really makes difference here?

Lower timings are nice but the Mushkin has been shown to do its DDR2-800 @ timings of 4-5-4-12 so take the specs with a grain of salt. It's been shown that real world performance of Conroe doesn't really scale that much with tighter timings (if I recall correctly). You might want to consider which one will OC better if you want to do any of that. There's a few reviews of the stuff online so check them out before you buy.

Are you sure there are reviews?

Anyway... what you told me about Mushkin was good or bad. Because if it's bad, no problem, I'll take the G.Skill. I just need to know if the G.Skill is worth it. Period.

Thanks
