DDR2 only for Intel?

At this point, yes, and thank god for that. DDR2 timings are horrible.

Yeah that is one thing I noticed, but the reviews did say DDR2 ran well at 533 and 3-3-3..not that bad.

The 1066 MHz FSB and DDR2-533 performance gain over the 800 MHz FSB and DDR400 is nil. And that's with a P4 3.46EE, for god's sake!

ddr2 is a joke,the next step will be ddr3 wich amd will probably adopt first...ddr2 is gonna go the way of rdram (rambus)

well, APPARENTLY AMD will go over to DDR2 sometime late next year.............i really hope not.

hey, MAYBE samsung will get their act together and put out some DDR2 chips with decent latentcy now that they have discontinued their production of TCCD...............

we can hope, at least.
