ddr2 memory speed question...

What program would tell me if the ddr2 ram in the pc is running at 800mhz speed?

cpu-z OR everest ultimate.

Ok I install everest ultimate and under the motherboard area, then in the memory bus properties section I see this:

Memory Bus Properties
Bus Type Dual DDR2 SDRAM
Bus Width 128-bit
DRAM:FSB Ratio CPU/5
Real Clock 200 MHz (DDR)
Effective Clock 400 MHz
Bandwidth 6400 MB/s


Is that just telling me the highest the rams support or is that the curent running state? Thanks... Ohh forgot and if so thats the current running state, how do you know its running at 800mhz?

That is the current running state.

I would use CPU-Z.. better layout for just grabbing the CPU and RAM info.

It's telling you right there under "effective clock", it's running at 400MHz, real clock is 200 MHz because RAM speed is double pumped. There is really no reason to run the RAM asynchronous, but you can if you really want to and run it at 800MHz.
