hey guys im a bit confused when my comp starts up it only reads 3.5gb or so of memory and when i check my system information it readys total physical memory = 4gb, Available Physical Mem = 3.5gb, is that right or i have a problem? By the way i just installed Windows 7 64bit this weekend and even when i was using xp it would still show 3.5 when my comp starts up! PLEASE HELP.......as i just bought my memory not long ago

It has nothing to do with the memory. In your case it sounds like a chipset limitation. What MOBO are you using?

too embarass too say lol. I'm using a PK5L mobo, i guess i was on a budget that time when i got it and been upgrading everything else and i guess left my mobo alone.
