Hi all i have recently oc my system and currently i am running:

CPU : Core 2 Duo E 7400 @ 3.6Ghz(bus speed 400Mhz,multiplier x8,5)
Motherboard : Asus P5Q
PSU : Thermaltake Purepower RX Cable Management 600W
RAM : #1 KINGSTON KHX6400D2K2/4G DDR2 4GB (2X2GB) PC6400 800MHZ HYPERX
DUAL CHANNEL KIT /
#2 Corsair 4GB DDR2 Ram Kit (TWIN2X4096-6400C5 G)
GPU : Sapphire Radeon HD6870 1GB GDDR5

HDD : #1 WESTERN DIGITAL WD5000AADS 500GB SATA2
#2 WESTERN DIGITAL WD5000AAKS 500GB SATA2 .

My questions are regarding the Ram modules that i have.
I have installed in Slot 1 Kingston
Slot 2 Corsair
Slot 3 Kingston
Slot 4Corsair.
My FSB : DRAM is 1:1 but i'm not familiar with the timing and the latency,The modules are running as show in the screen shot.

My questions is if i am running the modules properly and optimized for my rig,and if not what changes should i make.

How to set my DDR2 RAM for better performance?

I know it works with this setting,I oc the CPU only.I didn't touched the RAM.So i would like someone to advice me about the proper settings of the RAM.These are the deafult settings:).

Does your motherboard have a turbo memory setting? You could try that but really, four sticks running for 8GBs already running above the spec of the kingston kit which for 400MHz is 6-6-6-18, if its stable I wouldn't push it. You won't really gain any erformance anyways, just will increase heat. For that series of Intel CPUs, the ram offers more than enough bandwdth, plus the cache is so large on the CPU, that the Ram speed made little difference.

I remember seeing a article where the bencmarked 1066MHz RAM against DDR800, and I think the difference was something like 3%, and with DDR800, you won't be able to overclock to 1066MHz, probably with adding extra voltage might max out at 850MHz, but with 4 sticks, the slowest one will determine the limit. Heat is a killer for DDR2 also. I would recommend going for a wicked GPU OC!
 
I have no stability issues for now.I have run Memtest86+ for 3 hours it passed all the checks.I guess i leave it alone for now.Thanks all for your help
 
So much.I don't have that amount of time:eek: .I'll run it for 12 hours and see what happens.
