ddr2 667 vs 800: does it worth it?

i'm planning to buy a Conroe comp' soon, E6400 or maybe E6600

what memory should i go for (only one of those):

Twinmos 2gb 667

or

Mushkin 2gb 800

Mushkin costs 40% more than Twinmos, does it worth it? will i feel the difference?

p.s i'm not an Overclocker

i havent seen any benchmarks comparing the two with the new conroe processors.

if you are overclocking then there is a big advantage using ddr2 800...

I'd doubt it would make a difference if you are going to run it all stock. Just don't ask in the Intel forums here... You mention running a conroe stock w/o overclocking, you get laughed outta the forum.

If Kyle says you can't feel the difference between A64 and Conroe, you sure as hell won't feel the difference between DDR2-667 and DDR2-800.

What kind of prices are we talking here? DDR2-800 can be found for about $150 for 2GB these days. Most good 667 will overclock to 400MHz+ anyway, so it's a moot point. But you might as well buy as high as you can.

Tell you the truth for me i think its worth it cos it will give you more leway when overclocking also there some Vitesta extremes that are out and memory prices have never looked so good. With Front Side Bus increasing cpu after CPU we are seeing more support on motherboards of 1066mhz.

The future looks bright for RAM , the futue is Red (heat spreaders for Vitesta extreme or is pink).
