Does anyone know if the nVidia GeForce 9800 GT video cards can use DDC/CI (Display Data Channel/Command Interface) which is necessary for proper functioning of my NEC Spectraview LCD monitor that has its own LUT and callibration system for digital photographic work?

This is one of those pieces of information that needs to be known BEFORE the purchase of a video card and companies have no tech support until AFTER the purchase when such things are registered and then it could be too late if the card does not use DDC/CI.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

The 80 and 90 series Forceware drivers mention support via the MCCS Panel.
The 80 series Quadro drivers mention support also.
The 177.x drivers mention support, but only in relation to the DisplayPort AUX channel.

Notwithstanding Nvidia breaking/deleting features in the progression from 8x/9x series to 1xx series you should be in luck with DDC/CI over DVI.

Interestingly, the unix notes from Nvidia mention support in 96.x/100.x/169.x/173.x/177.x ... BUT that the default is OFF.
