I have an older D4 pump and was wondering if its worth getting a D5? any recomendations?
 
Does the sound the D4 makes bother you? If not I'd just stick with it. On the flipside, if it does then get the D5.
 
The D5 is ALOT quieter. I've got my D5 running at full blast and it's a good bit quieter than my D4 at 7 volts. They say it flows more, but I don't really have any way to test that.
 
im more worried about flow. also i was thinking just get a second one and run it in series for better flow since im running a trip rad
