The loop consists of a dual 5.25" bay-reservior, PTS topped DDC+, TDX on a 4200+ X2, 2x Iones on eVGA 8800GT's, and a 3x120mm Black Ice Stealth radiator with the slow S-Flex fans on it. Idle temperatures are after the computer sitting idle for pretty much all day. The loaded temperatures are after about an hour of CoD4. The temperatures on the loaded screen shot are a couple of degrees lower than actual, because a few seconds went by before I hit the screen shot button after I closed CoD4.

Idle:
CPU: 33C
GPU1: 40C
GPU2: 38C

Load:
CPU: 46C
GPU1: 48C
GPU2: 46C

What thermal paste did you use? I'd say overall the temps look ok, but that your load temps look a hair high. I've got somewhat simlar setup and I'm not expecting much over 45c. With only being 5c diff I was thinking thermal paste. I'm also wondering why your 2nd GPU would be cooler then your first. I'm thinking you may want to check the contact on the first. How restrictive are these GT blocks?

Hmm it looks like you should be getting better temps then you are. I wonder if you have anything killing your flow or if you have air bubbles somewhere. I had to turn my entire system upside down and all around to purge tthe bubbles. It was amazing the increase in pressure once the air was 100% out of the blocks and tubing!

Was a huge diff. I've got no experience with those paticular blocks and I'll let you know what my temps are later tonight when I turn on my loop under load for the first time!
 
His temps are a bit on the high side, but not considering what he has in the loop. I have the AC fullcover blocks and I load at 44C on my GT. However keep in mind that he has 2 GTs and a CPU all on a 120.3 radiator. My loop as roughly the same processor (Opty 165 overclocked) but only a single GT. I have a MCR120 and a PA160 cooling my setup so I have only slightly less radiator but one less component as well.
 
I agree somewhat, but I do wonder if those 90 degree bends he has on the GTs are killing the flow, as well as if there are any other flow killers. I also think a bit of the pump pressure is just used to get water up the long tube. I built my loop so that the entire flow from the pump cascaded down as much as possible. The only upward portion is when it heads back to the radiator. Dunno if that has anything to do with it either. Also I wonder about the pump. Maybe that versus a D5 is a large flow diff ? Thus some of the temp diff. Something is causing that loop to be about 5c higher then I would expect it to be. If the pump is a little weak and the thermal paste is not great, the 90 degree bends are causing a hair flow restriction the combo could be causing the 5c.

Regardless the temps are fine and won't ever cause a heat problem, just trying to maximize the temps with what he has. :)

His pump is better than a D5...

Also in a closed loop height plays no part. Any work done by your pump in raising the water is negated by the work gravity does when it comes back down the other side. The only thing the pump needs to do is overcome the restriction of the components in the loop.
